You just filled this in by hand. It's stale the moment a competitor ships.
Outmano tracks your competitors' pricing, features, content, and reviews continuously — and keeps an analysis like this current without you touching it again.
How to run a competitor analysis with this template
- Pick 2–4 competitors. The rival you lose deals to most, the one growing fastest, and at most two adjacent threats. More than four turns analysis into data entry.
- Fill the facts first. Pricing, features, and review scores are checkable — pull them from each competitor's pricing page, changelog, and review profiles before writing opinions.
- Write strengths and weaknesses last. With the factual rows filled in, the judgment rows almost write themselves — and they'll be grounded instead of gut-feel.
- Turn each weakness into one action. A competitor gap that doesn't change your roadmap, pricing, or messaging wasn't worth writing down. End with 2–3 concrete moves.

Competitor analysis FAQ
- What is a competitor analysis?
- A competitor analysis is a structured comparison of your product against its closest rivals — what they charge, what they ship, how they market, and what customers say about them. Done well, it turns "we think Acme is winning" into specific, checkable facts you can act on.
- What should a competitor analysis template include?
- The rows that change decisions: target customer, pricing and packaging, feature coverage, marketing channels and content output, review sentiment, and each rival's standout strengths and exploitable weaknesses. This template covers all seven, with a prompt in every cell.
- How many competitors should I analyze?
- Two to four. One competitor gives you tunnel vision; more than four turns analysis into data entry. Pick the rival you lose deals to most, the one growing fastest, and at most two adjacent threats.
- Is this template really free? Do I need an account?
- Yes, and no account. The grid works entirely in your browser and autosaves locally. We only ask for an email when you export the finished analysis as a CSV or PDF.
- How often should I update a competitor analysis?
- Quarterly at minimum — but pricing, feature, and review changes land whenever your competitors ship, which is why static documents rot. That's the problem Outmano solves: it watches your competitors continuously and keeps this analysis current for you.
