DevRev vs Olark FAQ
- Which one is cheaper?
- One or both use custom pricing, so it depends on your specific needs.
- Can I use either one for free?
- DevRev has a free plan. Olark doesn't — though they do offer a free trial.
- How do they charge?
- Both use a hybrid model, so the comparison is straightforward — it comes down to features and limits at each price point.
- Which one is a better deal?
- Depends on what you need. DevRev: By keeping Pro and Max prices opaque, DevRev signals it's playing in the mid-to-enterprise range, competing more with Zendesk/Intercom's higher tiers than with lean helpdesk tools. Hiding the number is a classic 'we're premium, let's talk' move rather than a race-to-the-bottom self-serve play. Olark: At $400/mo as a baseline (before any seats), Olark is pricing itself well above old-school live-chat tools like Tawk.to or even mid-market players — this isn't a budget buy anymore. They're clearly repositioning from 'cheap live chat' to 'AI-first support tool' and pricing accordingly, competing more with AI support platforms than with legacy chat widgets.
