How to add a competitor

Add a competitor from just their website URL — Outmano fills in the rest.

Add a competitor

  1. Click Add competitor in the top bar (or go to Competitors → Add Competitor).
  2. Enter the competitor URL or domain (e.g. competitor.com). That’s the only required field — leave the name blank and Outmano detects it.
  3. Click save — you’ll land on the competitor’s Setup tab while Outmano fetches their data in the background.

If you’d rather start from suggestions, the same page lists Discover competitors: SEO-overlap and AI matches for your own site, each with a Track button that prefills the form.

Within a few minutes Outmano pulls in their pricing tiers, blog posts, SEO metrics, ranked keywords, roadmap, and Trustpilot reviews. From then on everything refreshes on a recurring schedule, and changes show up in the change feed, your Slack alerts, and the weekly digest.

Each plan includes a number of competitors — 5 on Starter, 10 on Growth, 25 on Pro (your own product doesn’t count). At the limit you’ll be pointed to the billing page to upgrade.

Add a missing source URL

Outmano discovers pricing pages, blogs, and feeds automatically, but if a source couldn’t be found:

  1. Open the competitor’s Setup tab — it lists the angles still missing a source and lets you fill each one inline. The tab appears until every angle has data; Skip setup hides it.
  2. You can also edit every source at once from Settings in the competitor’s sidebar: pricing page, blog, roadmap, careers page, or RSS feed.
  3. Save — the next fetch uses your URL.

Refresh pricing manually

On the competitor’s Pricing tab, click Refresh pricing to trigger an immediate re-fetch. Available once every 2 days per competitor.

Remove a competitor

Open the competitor and use Remove in the sidebar — this stops tracking for your workspace and frees up a slot. You can re-add them later, but your workspace only ever sees changes detected from the moment you started tracking, so re-adding starts the change history fresh.
