How to generate a sales battlecard

Build a "how we beat them" card from tracked data, and share it with reps who don't have an Outmano seat.

A battlecard is a one-page “how we win against this competitor”, built from the data Outmano already tracks about them — pricing, features, reviews and SEO — plus your own product’s position. Every card is specific to your workspace.

Before you start

Two things have to be true:

  • Your own product is tracked. A battlecard is built around how you win, so it needs your product as a baseline. You add this during onboarding; if it’s missing, the tab says so.
  • At least two data angles have content for that competitor — pricing, SEO, reviews, or features. If you’re short, open the competitor’s Setup tab to fill in missing source URLs, or wait for the next fetch cycle.

Battlecards aren’t available on your own product.

Generate the card

  1. Open the competitor and go to the Battlecard tab.
  2. Click Generate battlecard. Generation runs in the background and takes a couple of minutes.

The finished card covers an overview, quick stats, their strengths and weaknesses, how you win, objection handling, a pricing talk track, and landmines to avoid.

Keep it current

The tab shows when the card was generated. If any of the underlying angles has been re-fetched since, a note names which data moved — cards never regenerate themselves, so a bookmarked link can’t change under a rep mid-call.

Click Regenerate to rebuild it from current data. Regeneration is limited to once an hour per competitor, and it overwrites the existing card in place, so any share link you’ve already sent out keeps working and shows the new version.

Share it outside Outmano

Each card has a share link — a public, unlisted URL a colleague can open without an Outmano seat. It’s mobile-friendly and excluded from search engines.

  1. Click Copy next to the share link.
  2. Send it to whoever needs the card.

To revoke it, click Reset link. The old URL stops working immediately and a new one takes its place — use this if a link has gone somewhere it shouldn’t.
