How to use Compare

See where you stand against the whole field, drill into one angle, or go head-to-head with a single rival.

Compare is the “you versus them” side of Outmano. It reads at three depths: your standing across every angle, one angle in detail, and a head-to-head against a single rival.

Before it works

Compare needs two things: your own product tracked (added during onboarding — see Setting up your workspace) and at least one competitor. Without your own product there’s no baseline to rank against, and the page will say so rather than show a partial picture.

Overview — where you stand

Compare → Overview is the rollup. It gives you:

  • A radar chart of your competitive shape: one spoke per ranked angle, your score in one colour and the rivals’ average in another. The outer edge of the grid is 100 — the field leader — so the gap to the rim is your distance to first place.
  • Standing cards per angle, grouped by Marketing, Product, Pricing and Team, each showing your rank, your score, and how far you are from the leader.

Spokes with no data on either side are dropped, so an account with no roadmap coverage still gets a clean chart instead of a dented one. Pricing appears as Affordability rather than a strength score — see Understanding the angles for why.

One angle in detail

Pick an angle from the left rail to drill in. Each angle page shows a leaderboard per metric — everyone tracked, ranked, with you highlighted — plus your standing for that angle.

Two angles render something other than leaderboards:

  • Pricing shows the field’s pricing board: positioning and tiers side by side, since ranking prices would imply cheapest wins.
  • Features shows the feature gap matrix and category radars.

Only browsable angles appear in the rail. Hiring, News and Paid search have no honest ranking, so they live on the per-competitor tabs instead.

Head-to-head with one rival

Pick a rival from the rail for the full one-on-one: your numbers against theirs across every angle, keyword overlap, and — where their features have been mapped onto your catalog — a category-by-category radar of you against just them, rather than against the field average.

This is the view to open before a sales call, a pricing decision, or a positioning argument. If you want something a rep can carry into the call itself, generate a battlecard.
